The Hispano Suiza H6 is a remarkable oldtimer that has stood the test of time. The H6 model, which dates back to 1920, is known for its luxurious features and graceful design. It was built by the Spanish-Swiss Hispano-Suiza company, which was famous for producing high-end cars and aircraft engines.
In 1935, this very same car completed a grueling 14,500-kilometer journey from Paris to Cape Town. The journey took three months to complete, with the car traversing a diverse range of terrains, from rocky mountain ranges to the vast savannahs of Africa.
Despite the challenging conditions, the H6 proved to be a reliable and sturdy vehicle, able to tackle the most difficult terrain with ease.
The H6 was equipped with a powerful six-cylinder engine that produced up to 135 horsepower, which was quite impressive for its time. The car itself weighed approximately 2,500 kilograms, making it a heavy but sturdy vehicle.
Despite its weight, the H6 was known for its exceptional handling and smooth ride, thanks to its advanced suspension system and responsive steering. Its luxurious interior, which included leather seats and fine wood trim, made it a favorite among the elite of the day.
